David James

It's a Boy!  Had the ultrasound Wednesday (sorry family we lied, but I wanted to surprise you all!) and very clearly saw that it is a boy!  We will be welcoming David James in (hopefully) mid-August (and hopefully by C-section if I have any say in it!)  Everything else was great.  Saw his hands, feet, spine and even his stubborn side when he decided to sit indian style near the end when the doctor was trying to locate where the umbilical cord attached (guess he is definitely our child!!).  Here are a few pictures of him.  Tim is excited to have a little boy to teach to shoot and all that other manly stuff.  I look forward to football, baseball and other sports!!  Needless to say my dad is excited also.  He's already told my mom that she can't make him sissy!  I think he is already planning UM football game trips and to get a big screen t.v. to watch football on with his grandson.  Mom thinks she is going to teach him piano and that her house is going to be just fine with a little boy running around (we will cure her of that quickly I hope)!  Tim's parents are excited too.  His dad wants to know when they can go to the shooting range (my vote is 18, but I think I'll be vetoed!).

Melissa's new hair style

Ok Becca got her wish.  Got a hair cut and color tonight and the hairdresser blew out my hair straight.  So what do you all think?  There is no way I can keep it up, but hey I may try to find out how to do it with a flat iron or something. Tim' s still not too sure.  I just wanted to post it because I don't think anyone has seen my hair straight :)
P.S. Please ignore the red spot on my chin, this whole pregnancy thing sucks with my skin.  That whole thing about you "glowing" is crap!  That "glow" is oil that makes you break out like a teenager!!!!  Other than that everything else is going fine.  We're at 13 weeks, almost 14, so just going right along on pace.  Heard the heartbeat again today, which is so awesome!!!  Can't wait to find out if it's a boy or girl, but we still have a wait a few weeks... we'll keep everyone updated!

It's All About the U!

So for Dad's 60th Birthday, we took him to the University of Miami v. Virginia Tech game at Dolphin Stadium.
It was a close game, but the Canes pulled it out in the end.
GO CANES!!!!
Tim wants a TV the size of the one at the field for the house, so he can watch his Dolphins in comfort!

The House is finished! (except the roof, but let's not be picky!)

Okay, so the house was done about a month ago, but now I have pictures!!!  Tim finished the beautiful wood floors in the living room (which is empty -- but who knows with Christmas coming) and dining room.  We also finally hung all of our artwork that we have collected on our cruises (free champagne people, need I say more), but the real surprise is that we still have blank wall space, so that means....MORE CRUISES AND AUCTIONS!!!!!!   We can't wait for everyone to come visit!
Oh, and in February  or March we will have a beautiful little standard poodle puppy to add to our family!!!!

October in Orlando

The first weekend of October, we went to Orlando and stayed at the Hard Rock Hotel at Universal Studios.  Tim, Becca and some of Tim's work buddies went to Halloween Horror Nights, while I just hung out at the hotel.  We had a great time and also celebrated Becca's 19th Birthday while we were there.

Then we went and spent a day with the Harris family at Animal Kingdom and then saw the parade and fireworks at the Magic Kingdom at the end of the night.  Madison went with dad and Uncle Tim to the playground at Animal Kingdom.  Hunter went wild when he finally got to get out of his stroller at the hotel between the two parks.  It was a wonderful end to our weekend.  We even got some cool pictures of Cinderella's castle during the fireworks.

Almost done!!!

This is the living room, which will stay empty for now, as the furnishing of it is the next stage in a few months.

Then there is the dining room, family room, master bath (see the crown moulding!) and the guest bedroom where our family and friends can stay when they come to visit (promise to have sheets by then :) )
We have wood floors in the living room and dining room!!  Now we are just waiting on our master bedroom furniture and some finishing touches on details (have the family room is painted) and we are done with renovations (for now)!!!  I am still in awe of our home.  We are so blessed and really can't wait for everyone to see it completed.  We are also blessed by everyone who has helped out, especially our family.

More pictures

These are pictures of the living room, stairs, kitchen (as taken from family room), finished family room, and the long view of the master bedroom.  Some are from before we moved in and others are as it looks now, sort of...
